RE: 2017 31st Sept - 2 Oct Qld Corroboree
I attended the Corroboree as the lone representative of the club with my eldest son joining me on Saturday morning
and the weather was hot and dusty all weekend until Monday when the rains came

The whole campsite was certainly large enough for everyone and they had the registration tent well organised etc.

However I got possibly the best campsite in the whole place, as I was relegated to the back blocks with all the small club attendees and was shown a little hole in the trees adn they said its probably big enough for your camper and two cars
It turned out to be a large campsite suitable for 6 campers or so it was on a horseshoe bend of the creek and not visible from the entry

We had our own campfire pit and Saturday night we sat round it listening to the music enterntainment talking and laughing til we got tired

Tracks - all tracks were only ten minutes max from the campsite muster and we were into it almost immediately

Saturday driving was just a medium track rated and did we wait for everything including climbing and descending tracks, other groups traversing the forest and one guy who lost his valves while airing down  lucky I had some spares, but overall it had a good run uphill with a very loose track downhill and I did some sideways going down, but still very easy overall

Sunday I did both the single diamond tracks and they were challenging fun, they insisted on everyone having offroad tyres and lockers or traction control, both of these tracks certainly had their challenges and because we all behaved well with no casualties we did some extra tracks on the way home

I forgot one hilux bent his steering arm and kept falling in the deep ruts because his front wheels wobbled all over the place, but he perservered and drove it home to camp promising to get it fixed the next day

We did stop to look at the one and only double diamond track hill climb, and they told me they wouldn't let any of us go on it without some serious mods to the truck

I followed a shorty forty with five kids plus mum and dad in it, powered by a V8 and lacked nothing for power, but it was funny waving to all the kids sitting in the back who were laughing all the way up and down the mountains and were giving the thumbs up to me for getting up some tall and tight pinches, they must have been covered in dust hahaha

left early before the rains came and now I wondered how everyone got out of the park without getting bogged

Well organised and well run, I had a great time with plenty of time to do everything I wanted, would certainly go again hahaha well I have been to everyone since my first 2013 and if you like some challenging tracks plan to be there for 2018
